By installing or registering for the Service, you referred to as "the Client", are agreeing to abide by the following Terms and Conditions outlined in this Agreement. If the Client disagrees with any portion of this Agreement, they are unable to use the Service. By downloading, installing, and/or utilizing the browser extensions, the Client is bound to the Terms and Conditions outlined in this Agreement. If the Client objects to any aspect of this Agreement, they cannot use the Service. The Provider reserves the right to change these practices, and any changes will be prominently displayed on our website. It is recommended that the Client regularly reviews the privacy policy when visiting our site to ensure a clear understanding of how their information will be used.
Our Core Privacy Commitment
The Provider values privacy and security. We adhere to the principle of data minimization. The extension is designed to function primarily without collecting your personal identity. We do not require or access your IP address, browser information, or operating system details to provide the extension's core functionality.

To comply with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, we explicitly disclose how we handle user data. Our extension only collects data that is strictly necessary for its single purpose (providing AI-generated summaries and notes).

Non-Personal / Technical Data: Currently, we do not gather or maintain any personally identifiable information. In the future, if we collect anonymous usage statistics (e.g., frequency of options usage) to enhance our service, it will be aggregated, anonymized, and processed without identifying individual users.
User-Generated Content (Shared Conversations): If the Client explicitly chooses to use the "Share Conversation" feature, the Service will collect the specific questions and answers from that conversation. This text data is processed to generate a shareable web link.
How We Store Your Data
Local Storage (Default)
By default, your summaries, configurations, and extension data are processed and stored strictly locally on your device.
Cloud Database (User-Triggered Only)
Only when the Client manually clicks the "Save" or "Share" button, the selected conversation data will be transmitted and stored in our secure database (https://notegpt.io/) to generate your saved history or a shareable link. We do not collect or save any associated personal metadata, such as your name, surname, email, or profile picture with this data.
How We Share Your Data
Public/Third-Party Disclosure: When you use the "Share Conversation" feature, the questions and answers will be published on our website via a public link that you can share. Apart from this explicitly user-initiated sharing, the Provider WILL NOT disclose, sell, or share specific data details to third parties or the public unless legally obligated to do so.
User Consent and Opt-Out (Control Mechanisms)
Explicit Consent: By interacting with the "Share Conversation" feature, you give explicit consent to the collection and hosting of that specific conversation's text.
Opt-Out / Deletion: If the Client wishes to stop the collection of data or remove stored content, they can:
- Uninstall the extension or use private browsing mode (Incognito), which automatically disables the extension.
- Refrain from using the "Share" feature, keeping all extension activities strictly local.
- Contact our support to request the removal of any previously shared conversation links.
